Abul Muhasin Muhammad Sajjad (Aged 60) was born in 1880 in Panhessa, Bihar Province, Colonial India. He was a highly influential Indian Islamic scholar in the 20th century and was the founder of Anjuman-Ulama-i-Bihar, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, and Imarat-i-Sharia.
As a leader in the Indian independence movement, he actively participated in the Non-cooperation Movement, Khilafat Movement, and Civil Disobedience Movement. Sajjad strongly opposed the partition of India and advocated for the concept of composite nationalism.
