Badri Mandal

Badri Mandal, who was born in the village of Dhanupura in the Tarapur police station area of Munger district, Bihar, India. He actively participated in the Civil Disobedience movement of 1930. On 15 February 1932, which was declared as Jhanda Satyagrah Diwas by the local Congress Committee, he was part of a 4000-strong crowd that had gathered around Tarapur Police Station with the aim of hoisting the Congress flag over it.

When the police ordered the crowd to disperse, they resorted to indiscriminate firing, which critically injured Badri Mandal. He was later pronounced dead at a nearby hut adjoining the thana building.
