Bhubanananda Das

Bhubanananda Das (Aged 73) was born in 1885 in Odisha, India. He was an Indian Independence activist from Orissa who played a significant role in the state’s political movement. Das served as the president of the First All Orissa States People’s Conference, held in Cuttack in 1931. This conference was the precursor of the Praja Mandala movement.

Das was a prominent member of the Central Legislative Assembly, Constituent Assembly of India, Provisional Parliament, the Rajya Sabha, and the Lok Sabha. He made important contributions to India’s politics during his tenure. He passed away in 1958 in Odisha, India.
