ChinnaMuthu

(1891 – 1950) – (Tamilnadu)

Chinnamuthu Mudaliyar (Aged 59) was born on 13 February 1891 in Paparapatti, Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, India. His father’s name was Muthukuppa Mudaliar. Leaders like Rajaji, Vanchinathan, and Subramania Siva wrote several letters to him. When Mahatma Gandhi came to Dharmapuri, he stayed at the Valal Sadayappa Chettiar Hall, which Chinnamuthu managed.

Many wealthy landowners used the panel attack on the British to achieve their goal of salam bod to the British. Freedom fighter Tiyagi Subramania Siva was given a place to stay, and Chinnamuthu was the first to publish his Independence Struggle Weekly (1919). Despite the setbacks, Chinnamuthu continued to do the work with great enthusiasm and bought the Vakutriya land given to him to fulfill the purpose of building Siva’s Bharat Mata Daya.

Siva, along with his friend Chinnamuthu Mudaliar, bought 6 acres 21 cents of land in Paparapatti, and Chinnamuthu was the first witness to sign during the registration. They named the land Bharatpuram and stayed there to take part in the liberation struggle. Chinnamuthu planned to build a Bharat Mata temple in Bharatpuram and took action. The construction of the temple dates back to 1923. The then Congress leader Chittaranjan Das laid the foundation stone for the Bharat Mata Temple on June 22, 1923. However, the temple work was not completed, and Tiyagi Subramania Siva passed away by July 23, 1925.

The founding flood and the martyrdom of Tiyagi Eyap left behind this type of soil, and Chinnamuthu Mudhaliar passed away on April 30, 1950.
