Kailashpati Mishra

Kailashpati Mishra (Aged 89) Born on 5th October 1923, Bihar, India.  Kailashpati Mishra was an Indian politician who became a prominent leader of the Jana Sangh and later the Bharatiya Janata Party. He served as the Finance Minister of Bihar in 1977 and was later appointed as the Governor of Gujarat from May 2003 to July 2004.

During the Quit India Movement in 1942, he actively participated and was subsequently arrested. He became a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in 1943 and was even jailed after the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. Kailashpati Mishra passed away on 3rd November 2012.
