Kanti Chandra Zadoo

(1918 – 1945) – (Jammu & Kashmir)

Kanti Chandra Zadoo (Aged 27), born in 1918 and was the son of Prof. Jagaddhar Zadoo, hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, India. His father achieved the distinction of being the first Kashmiri scholar to collaborate with Sanskrit scholars from Japan and Russia. Kanti Chandra Zadoo served as the Personal Secretary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. He is believed to have been aboard the same aircraft that mysteriously crashed in 1945, resulting in the tragic loss of both Subhash Chandra Bose and Kanti Chandra Zadoo. However, it’s worth noting that the circumstances of Netaji’s death have been a subject of debate within the history of the Indian freedom struggle.

His elder brother, Dina Nath Zadoo, held the rank of Captain in the Indian National Army (INA) and participated in the conflict in Malaysia. Kanti Chandra Zadoo and his elder brother were affectionately known as the Zadoo Brothers.
