Smt. Snehlata Verma, the daughter of freedom fighter Shri Manikyalal Verma, participated in the Bijoliya Farmers Movement led by her father along with her grandmother. She followed her father’s legacy and faced several atrocities as a result. Her husband, Shri Harish Chandra Pravasi, also provided her with full cooperation in this endeavor.
She was taken into custody for participating in the Satyagraha conducted in Udaipur. Her mother established the ‘Mahila Sangathan’, which became a platform of struggle for Snehlata Verma to engage women in the freedom movement. She carried out several tasks for the development and upliftment of women. She awakened women to the cause of freedom for our nation and enlightened them towards the development of Mewar.
