Thirga Bhagat


Thirga Bhagat was born in the village of Beyasi, police station Mandar, in the Ranchi district of Bihar (now in Jharkhand). His father’s name was Dhamuya Bhagat. He played an active role in the Quit India movement of 1942 and was arrested for participating in an anti-British demonstration. After being tried and sent to jail, he died later while in detention.
