Yadagiri hailed from Chilpakunta village in the Suryapet taluka of Nalgonda district, Telangana, India. He worked as an agricultural laborer and joined the Village Guerilla Squad during the anti-feudal struggle of the Communists in Telangana. He was arrested and tortured in connection with a raid on a bus and lorry belonging to the Nizam’s Military at Tirumalagiri. Despite facing death, he refused to disclose any information about the participants.
Yadagiri was shot dead by the Nizam’s Military in 1946-47 for abusing a Military Officer and spitting on his face. His sacrifice made him a martyr in the cause of resisting autocratic and feudal domination.
