Yamuna Karjee (Aged 53) was born in 1900 in Darbhanga District of Bihar, India. He was an Indian independence activist, who was drawn towards India’s freedom struggle, the Kisan Movement, and the Peasant movement under the leadership of Sahajanand Saraswati. Karjee also participated in Gandhiji’s non-cooperation movement from 1920-21 and was imprisoned in 1929-30 for taking part in the civil disobedience movement and the Namak Satyagrah. He passed away by 1953.
