Abdul Khalique was born on 26 August 1921 in Aberdeen Bazaar, Port Blair, the Andaman Islands. He worked as an employee in the Meteorological Department under the British Administration.
After joining the Indian Independence League in Port Blair, he actively worked towards its financial and political advancement. However, he was arrested by the Japanese forces during their occupation of the Islands from 1942-1945 on 22 January 1943. He was then confined to the Cellular Jail and ultimately shot dead by a Japanese firing squad on 30 March 1943 near Dugnabad Shore.
