Deep Narayan Singh

Deep Narayan Singh (Aged 83) was born on November 25, 1894 in Purantand, Bihar, India. He was a former Chief Minister of Bihar, Indian politician, and participant in the Indian independence movement.

Singh was born in Purantand, Bihar and was a Member of the Constituent Assembly of India, which was elected to write the Constitution of India. He also served as a Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly and as part of India’s first Parliament after it gained independence from British rule.

Singh was associated with the trio of nationalists, Rajendra Babu, Anugraha Babu, and Shri Babu. He succeeded Krishna Singh as the Chief Minister of Bihar. In 1979, the Directorate of Archaeology and Museum established a museum in his honor in Hajipur, Bihar. He passed away on December 7, 1977, in Hajipur, Bihar.
