Gaya Munda (Aged 66) was born in the village of Etkedih, located in the Khunti district of Jharkhand, around 1835 AD. During that time, all the tribals in Chotanagpur were being exploited under British rule.
In 1895, Birsa presented a detailed political program and prepared a large army equipped with bows, arrows, and swords, with Gaya Munda serving as the commander and head minister due to his unparalleled organizing skills and resoluteness. However, the British hanged Gaya Munda on October 22nd, 1901, at 6 AM, in a ghastly act.
Despite limited resources and adverse circumstances, Gaya Munda fought valiantly against the imperialist forces, and his name is included in the front line of immortal martyrs. She passed away by 1901.
