Kanhiyalal Prabhakar Mishra

Kanhiyalal Prabhakar Mishra (Aged 89) was an Indian journalist, writer, and freedom fighter born on 29 May 1906 in Deoband, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He actively participated in the Indian freedom struggle and was imprisoned several times.

Mishra wrote several books, including “Deep Jale Sankh Baja,” “Mati Ho Gai Sona,” “Jindagi Muskarai,” “Baje Payaliya Ke Ghungroo,” “Nayi Pidhi Nayi Vichar,” and “Aakash Ke Tare Dharti Ke Phool.” He was also the editor of the journal “The Enlightenment.” In 1990, the Government of India awarded him the fourth-highest civilian award of Padma Shri. Mishra passed away on 9 May 1995.
