Kuladhar Chaliha (Aged 76), a freedom fighter and prominent leader of Assam from the Indian National Congress, was born on September 20, 1887 in Sivasagar, Assam, India. Chaliha was one of the elected members of the 1934 Indian general election from the state of Assam. He was also the first president of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee when it was founded. He passed away on January 19, 1963.
