Ramgulam Chaudhary

(1920 – 1969) – (Bihar)

Ramgulam Chaudhary (Aged 67) born in Bihar, India in 1902, was an active participant in the Indian independence movement as a member of the Congress Party. He was greatly admired by Mahatma Gandhi.

Chaudhary went to jail multiple times for his involvement in the freedom struggle. As the Vice President of the All India Depressed Class League, he took part in the historic Simla Conference and opposed the idea of creating a separate state for the depressed classes. He passed away in 1969.
