Sadhuniya was a resident of Saraikela, Bihar (now in Jharkhand). He participated in the Uprising of 1857 and fought against the English East India Company’s forces. Unfortunately, he was killed during an encounter with the Company’s troops at Barhi Ghat in 1857.
