Sarjug Dusadh hailed from the village of Mehari, located in the Belsand police station area of Muzaffarpur district in Bihar, India. His father’s name was Raman Dusadh.
During the Civil Disobedience movement of 1930, he actively participated in the cause. On February 28, 1932, he was one among a massive gathering of nearly 7,000 people who had assembled outside the Sheohar Police Station to hoist the Congress Flag on the thana building. Unfortunately, the crowd became unruly, and the Gurkha military police opened fire on them. Tragically, Dusadh died on the same day from the gunshot wounds he sustained during the incident.
