Shri Khyaliram (Aged 82) from Sikar district, Rajasthan, was born in 1916 in Bhamarwasi village.
He lost his father, Shri Rekharam, when he was only three years old, and as a result, was raised
by his paternal uncle, a staunch patriot and follower of the Arya Samaj. At the age of 10,
Khyaliram participated in the All India Jat Mahasabha held in Pushkar, where he came into
contact with Shri Madan Mohan Malviya. This encounter marked his emergence as an effective
peasant leader.
In 1939, he participated in the Jaipur Satyagraha along with his wife and Pandit Tadkeshwar.
During this time, Khyaliram’s wife, along with their seven-month-old daughter, was imprisoned
for four months. In 1940, he established a Sarvodaya Ashram and named it ‘Mohanpura’.
Khyaliram was attacked during the Chanana Firing Case in 1947. That same year, he took part in
the Mahrumpur Kisan Sammelan and violated Section 144, resulting in his arrest. Shri Khyaliram
passed away in 1998.
