Turrebaz Khan fought against the British during the Indian Rebellion of 1857 in Hyderabad State and was subsequently hanged by the British. He was born in Begum Bazar, which is presently located in Hyderabad district. Despite opposition from the ruling Nizam, he rebelled against the British. In honor of Turrebaz Khan, a street in Begum Bazar has been named after him. He passed away by 1857.
