Vallabhadas hailed from Bagewadi village in Mundargi taluka of Gadag district, Karnataka, India. He actively participated in the 1857-58 struggle against the British under the leadership of Bhim Rao and Kanchan Gowda. During the battle for Koppaldurg, Vallabhadas was arrested and subsequently sentenced to death. In June 1858, he was executed by musketry.
